My association with Back Up started almost 20 years ago. After sustaining a spinal injury at the age of 20 and slowly trying to piece my life back together, during my rehabilitation, someone asked me "have you heard of Back Up?".

After looking into it, I didn't hesitate to sign up for a Multi Activity Course, which inspired me to get into water skiing and then snow skiing! The support I got through these experiences gave me so much independence and confidence to work towards living a full life. I owe an awful lot to Back Up and to all the incredible people I met and helped me through those early years after my accident.
